This Privacy Policy explains how the Sudoku application (“the App”) handles your information. The App is developed and published by Maxim Kazantsev, an individual developer (“I”, “me”).
Short version
The App collects nothing, sends nothing and requests no permissions. It has no access to the internet at all, so it is technically incapable of transmitting your data anywhere. Your unfinished game, your settings and your statistics stay on your device.
None. I do not collect, receive, store, process, sell or share any personal data or any other information about you or your use of the App. Specifically, the App does not collect:
The App has no user accounts and no registration. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to log in to.
The App does not declare the INTERNET permission in its Android manifest. Without that permission the Android operating system prevents an application from opening any network connection. This is not a promise about my intentions. It is a technical restriction enforced by the system: the App cannot send your results, settings or any other data to me or to anyone else, even accidentally.
Puzzles are not downloaded either. Every puzzle is generated on your device at the moment you start a game, so the App has no reason to contact a server and no ability to do so.
The App saves a small amount of data in its own private area on your device. This data never leaves the device and consists of:
Android automatic backup is disabled for the App, so none of this is uploaded to Google Drive or transferred to a new device. Resetting the statistics inside the App, clearing the App’s data or uninstalling it removes this data permanently.
The App declares no Android permissions at all. It never asks for storage, camera, microphone, contacts, location or notification access.
Two things that commonly require permissions are deliberately implemented without them: the short sound of a move is synthesised by the App itself and played through the standard audio output, and the tap feedback uses the system’s built-in haptic response rather than the vibration API, which would require the VIBRATE permission.
The App contains no advertising, no analytics, no trackers and no crash-reporting services. It ships with zero third-party runtime libraries: there is no embedded SDK that could collect or transmit information. The App is free and contains no in-app purchases or subscriptions.
The settings screen contains links to my public channels, to my other applications in the app stores and to my email address. Opening such a link hands you over to your browser or to another application, and from that point the privacy policy of the corresponding service (Telegram, MAX, Google Play, RuStore) applies. No information about you is passed along with the link by the App.
Because I hold no data about you, there is nothing for me to retain or delete on my side. Everything the App saves is stored locally and is under your control: you can reset the statistics from within the App, clear the App’s data in the Android settings, or uninstall the App to remove it entirely.
The App is not directed to children specifically and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). Since no data is collected from any user, no data about a child can be collected either.
Privacy laws such as the GDPR give you rights to access, correct, export or erase the personal data a developer holds about you. I hold no such data, so there is nothing to disclose, correct, export or erase on request.
The App is distributed through Google Play, RuStore and possibly other application stores. Those platforms may collect information related to downloading, installing and running applications (for example, aggregated installation statistics or, if you have enabled it on your device, crash diagnostics) in accordance with their own privacy policies. This collection is performed by the platform, not by the App, and I have no control over it and no access to data identifying you.
If the App ever gains a feature that changes how data is handled, this Policy will be updated before that feature is released, and the date below will change. The current version of this Policy is always available at this address.
