MiniTXT (package info.javaway.micronotepad)
This Privacy Policy explains how the MiniTXT application (“the App”) handles your information. The App is developed and published by Maxim Kazantsev, an individual developer (“I”, “me”).
Short version
The App collects nothing, sends nothing and requests no permissions. It has no access to the internet at all, so it is technically incapable of transmitting your data anywhere. Your notes are ordinary text files that stay in a folder you choose on your own device or storage.
None. I do not collect, receive, store, process, sell or share any personal data or any other information about you or your use of the App. Specifically, the App does not collect:
The App has no user accounts and no registration. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to log in to.
The App does not declare the INTERNET permission in its Android manifest. Without that permission the Android operating system prevents an application from opening any network connection. This is not a promise about my intentions — it is a technical restriction enforced by the system: the App cannot send your notes, settings or any other data to me or to anyone else, even accidentally.
Your notes are ordinary .txt files (and .md files, if you use them) stored in one or more folders that you select yourself. The App does not keep a hidden database and does not copy your notes into its own private storage.
If a folder you select is itself synchronised to a cloud service by another application on your device, that service’s own privacy policy applies to those files. The App is not involved in and has no knowledge of such synchronisation.
The App declares no Android permissions at all. It never asks for storage, camera, microphone, contacts, location or notification access.
Access to your notes folder is granted by you through the standard Android folder picker (the Storage Access Framework). When you pick a folder, the system gives the App access to that folder only, and you can revoke this access at any time in the Android settings for the App. The App stores only the reference (URI) to the folder you selected, so that it can reopen it the next time you launch it.
The App can open a .txt or .md file that you tap in a file manager, accept text sent to it through the system “Share” dialog, and write a copy of a note through the system “Save a copy…” dialog.
In all of these cases the file is passed to the App by the operating system as a result of your explicit action, is processed only on your device, and is not retained beyond the editing session. For files opened this way the App deliberately does not take a persistent access grant: once you close the editor, its access to that file ends.
The App saves a small set of preferences in its own private area on your device. This data never leaves the device and consists of:
Android automatic backup is disabled for the App, so these settings are not uploaded to Google Drive or transferred to a new device.
The App contains no advertising, no analytics, no trackers and no crash-reporting services. It ships with zero third-party runtime libraries: there is no embedded SDK that could collect or transmit information. The App is free and contains no in-app purchases or subscriptions.
The settings and “About” screens contain links to my public channels and to my other applications on Google Play. Opening such a link hands you over to your browser or to another application, and from that point the privacy policy of the corresponding service (Telegram, MAX, Google Play) applies. No information about you is passed along with the link by the App.
Because I hold no data about you, there is nothing for me to retain or delete on my side. You remain in full control of your own files:
The App is not directed to children specifically and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). Since no data is collected from any user, no data about a child can be collected either.
Privacy laws such as the GDPR give you rights to access, correct, export or erase the personal data a developer holds about you. I hold no such data, so there is nothing to disclose, correct, export or erase on request. Your notes are plain files in your own storage, which you can read, copy or delete at any time without involving me or the App.
The App is distributed through Google Play and other application stores. Those platforms may collect information related to downloading, installing and running applications (for example, aggregated installation statistics or, if you have enabled it on your device, crash diagnostics) in accordance with their own privacy policies. This collection is performed by the platform, not by the App, and I have no control over it and no access to data identifying you.
If the App ever gains a feature that changes how data is handled, this Policy will be updated before that feature is released, and the date below will change. The current version of this Policy is always available at this address.
